Oganic coconut fibres as alternative to peat. The fibres known as Coir are obtained from the outer layer of coconuts and is characterised by high absorbing and long-living qualities. They’re insensitive to fungus and bacteria and can outlast months of humidity without decomposing. Furthermore they’re antistatic, hardly inflammable and have insulating and sound-absorbing effects. Because of their fine structure the coconut fibres are perfectly suitable for plant propagation. Our GREEN&FAIR coco blocs are produced in Sri Lanka and are made of fibres from certified organic cultivations. They aren’t fertilised and free from chunky plant parts. If needed you can mix the coconut fibres with fertilised potting soil or organic fertiliser. One GREEN&FAIR coco bloc equals about 8 litre of potting soil, just let it swell up in water.
